Who is this course for?

Anyone interested in learning how to rig props and characters properly.

What will you learn?

Software

We will master many tools in Maya used for rigging. You will understand most deformers, connections, and constraints. You will learn how to use almost any object in Maya as a tool to bring your ideas to life.

Attention! The OSA School does not provide Autodesk Maya software!

Skills

You will gain the knowledge to create rigs for animating any objects. Throughout the course, we will create a character rig and produce a showreel based on it.

Павел Королёв
Pavel Korolev

With over 20 years of experience in computer graphics, the past 8 of which have been dedicated to rigging, Pavel has worked at renowned studios such as Animaccord, Trekhmer, Bazelevs, Dr. Pictures, Pixonic, and Nekki. His project portfolio includes films like Wolfhound and Attraction, music videos (including Tatu and others), commercials (M&Ms, Zic, Nike, and more), animated films like Belka and Strelka, Mavka, Buka, and animated series such as Masha and the Bear, Secret Room, Just You Wait, Lego, as well as games like Heroes Of Might and Magic 6, War Robots, Shadow Fight 3, Little Big Robots, and Spine.

Pavel believes that a rigger’s primary goal should be to create rigs that serve the animator well. Rigs should be both fast and convenient to use.
