I started my career as an animator with this school and I never regretted it! I came to the course Maya Beginner and already finished the Body Mechanics. The group always has a pleasant atmosphere, appropriate humor, teachers know their job. Accessible lectures, clearly defined goals. In case of problems, I wrote to support. They respond immediately, enter the situation and find a solution. I will continue my studies in this school. I recommend it.

"I'm about 30 and I don't like my job" - with this thought I started my way into animation. I started like everyone else with balls. When I realized that this was "it", I decided not to prolong the learning process indefinitely and started looking for an animation school. OCA school - stood out from many other schools, the number of positive reviews, which made it easier for me to choose. And the fact that Anton Ananyev became my first mentor in animation, I consider it my personal luck. An excellent animator, a teacher of high level, who keeps in touch even between classes, a person with a huge reserve of patience, who repeatedly steadfastly withstood our questions. He showed us how difficult animation can be and how attractive it can be.

I completed the course completely, it was informative and exciting, at the beginning I even thought that this craft is not for me, but now I have become more confident in my abilities and I will definitely continue my studies at this school.

I am studying Pantomime with Ivan. I really like it. Ivan is the best teacher I've ever met. Ivan feels and understands animation very subtly, and not only body mechanics, i.e. logic, physics and plasticity of human movement, but also the so-called "cartoon" animation, the plasticity of classical animation, its laws and direction. Ivan gives the information clearly, with examples. And very patient with us beginners. In general, Ivan is a great guy. Thanks to him.
Thanks to Igor Fedoseev for his patience, attention, help and detailed analysis of our animations.
Excellent course by Alexei Zhuravlev. Competent lighting is a special art that is taught in very few places. But in vain. You can draw with light. You can make a harmless character look like a villain, and a boring room become mysterious.
I recommend this course to almost everyone who works with computer graphics. In addition to the artistic part about lighting, you will get a lot of useful information about how to properly adjust the materials in the scene. How to get a nice glow on any surface. How to make a "picture" beautiful and why the light works here, but not there. How to properly configure the render and refine the result in compositing. Theory and practice, lots of valuable tips and tricks, interesting homework and detailed feedback. I got a lot of useful information from this course that I am already using in my work. It was very cool, thanks Alexey.
The course is excellent! Nobody will leave without knowledge! Don't even try! I took a course with Igor Fedoseyev. A wonderful, competent teacher! Explains with sense, with feeling, with arrangement. In addition, he checks shots and gives reviews much more often than students deserve. In general, the course is great! The nation is satisfied!
I have been working with Olya for several years. Olya is an excellent specialist, with an interesting approach to work. For this person there are no words like it doesn't work or I can't, even if she faces any difficulties, she still successfully overcomes them!
I have been working with Olya for several years. I like her approach and attitude to work. This person does not rest until her work is finished. She is fully involved in the future of the project, obviously, her support at different stages of the project is very appropriate.
Having a lot of experience in creating animals, people and fantasy creatures, she easily conveys the necessary images and atmosphere of a 3D object. Olya is a very sociable person. Sometimes a perfectionist, like her desire for improvement, and after years of seeing progress, it motivates!
Has worked with Olga on several projects. A very serious specialist with a thoughtful methodical approach and just a nice person to work with.
I have been working in the field of computer graphics for more than 6 years. Once I was working on a project where the main character was supposed to be a realistic rabbit, and then we realized that we needed a 3D model, after going through all the sites with 3D models, we realized that there was no decent quality. Thanks to a colleague I met Olga, the project was delivered on time and in excellent quality, and in general the customer was satisfied! And I am grateful for speed, quality and patience!
Alexey is one of the strongest lighting experts in our animation and film industry with whom I have worked. In fact, he turned out to be the first colleague and teacher for me, who at the beginning of my journey taught me to analyze other people's work, to see an image and look at shots from the point of view of narrative and art of the frame, and not just blind repetition and random scattering of light sources. The knowledge and experience I was able to learn from him about lighting helped me a lot in the future and still helps me in compositing.
I have had the pleasure of working with Alexey on numerous occasions. It has always been a huge advantage to have him on the team, not only for his ability to breathe life into any shot with creative lighting, but also to harness his exceptional technical skills, speed of working and problem solving abilities. It is inspiring to watch Alexey masterfully craft a beautiful image out of darkness.
I worked under the guidance of Alexey Zhuravlev for more than a year. We managed to work with him on such projects as "The Princess and the Dragon", "Two Tails" and "The Great Journey". Alexey knows how to find an approach to each of his collaborators. During the time we worked together, I learned a lot of useful tips that I still use. Alexey is calm and understanding, which is a very important quality for a manager, because in the course of work different situations can arise. He always helped and explained several times when it was necessary. He always encouraged and supported me when something didn't work out. Alexey has extensive experience working in different studios and projects. He is an excellent technical specialist with a great artistic vision. All his advice helped to improve the image in the visual solution. Alexey is constantly developing in his craft, looking for new ways, studying more interesting and faster solutions to tasks. Besides, he is a specialist of a wide range. Not only employees of his department, but also other specialists always turn to him for advice. As a professional who knows his job one hundred percent, he confidently leads almost any scene and brings it to perfection.
I am very glad that I was able to work under Alexey's direction. I hope we will have time to work with him on the same projects in the future.
Alexey is, without exaggeration, the best specialist in artistic lighting I have ever met. In 2017, under Alexey's leadership, we worked on the coverage of the cartoon "The Princess and the Dragon". Every day of work under the guidance of this talented master was priceless. Every day for six months, Alexey generously shared his knowledge of lighting theory and his vast experience of practical lighting in Maya and pre-compositing in Nuke. In addition to his vast technical experience, Alexey has one quality that impressed me the most: an intuition for the emotions that light creates in the frame. This is such a subtle, purely artistic, non-technical intuition that it is difficult to express in words, but it creates the magic that light should create in animation. Throughout my career, I have relied on the invaluable knowledge and love of the profession that Alexey has so generously and kindly shared with us. And apart from that, Alexey's most important qualities as a teacher are: optimism, lightness and patience. No matter how much his course costs, I recommend it to every light artist, both beginners and experienced. I can't imagine what stars were aligned in the sky that Alexey had the opportunity to start a training course with his busy schedule of working on animation projects. But to get to him for training is an invaluable opportunity that you must take advantage of before Alexey is taken away again for five years on some next cool project.
Alexey Zhuravlev is a talented professional computer graphics artist, lighting and shading artist. He has many years of experience and excellent artistic taste. Alexey is a charismatic and polite person who is very pleasant to work with. He always explains the task clearly and gives precise comments, after which the work always gets much better. He generously shares his professional knowledge in an accessible form, which can be immediately applied in practice, so the information is well absorbed. Always ready to help with advice in difficult situations. Creates a positive, comfortable atmosphere for learning, where you can ask any question without hesitation.
I involuntarily remember a little discussion with my colleague:
"Listen, I'll tell you something, Olya, about Ivan! From my point of view, a teacher or a supervisor has many excellent qualities, but one quality I would like to emphasize in bold: this is the requirement of the result. And here are many pitfalls. The result can be very different. It can depend very much on the conditions. It can simply be destroyed by the current market position. But if the teacher squeezes the maximum result out of the student in every possible way and a little bit more, if the student is completely empty but glows with happiness, or if the manager protects the perfect result from all the misfortunes of management, market demands and the cries of spent hours... Then it turns out that the game was worth the candle. That when everything around you is in ruins, and in the midst of these ruins is a brilliant result, squeezed out with blood and sweat, magnificent material, then you realize that you are not living in vain. You're going to the limit of your abilities. How else, Olya? Here is our Ivan, one of those people. And then there is a choice: either you go through life with such people (and finding them is already a victory) and try to be useful to them, or you go your own, serene way. True, but the world moves faster.
Ivan Pavlov is a great animator with a lot of experience. While studying with him I learned many ways to make my character really interesting, how to give it character, how to make the viewer believe that the character is alive. It turned out that it is not so difficult to raise your level if you have a competent mentor who always tells you which way to go. I would like to thank Ivan for generously sharing the secrets of his art with us. Thank you, Ivan!
Ivan is very talented and scrupulous painter and animator. He has great eye for details. Not only is he an outstanding animator, he always makes time to mentor up animators and for that I am forever grateful. I highly recommend Ivan and it would be a loss to any company not to employ someone as gifted as he.
I studied with Ivan for six months. During this time, I developed an approach to work, I used to "swim", taking on one thing, then another, now I can devote more time to acting, not doing what is not important now or redoing it. Thanks to Ivan's meticulousness, I now have more diligence, especially in the smallest details, which was the most difficult, but so necessary in this profession, for which I am very grateful.
Ivan has the gift of transforming knowledge into experience. Each time he methodically repeats the main principles in practice, he drains the animator out of you drop by drop. The foundation that Ivan screwed into my head, if you will, do not forget. It may not be ideal to use this knowledge because of my lack of experience, but the fact that I take it into account every time I work, because I can't do it any other way, is a fact. This has grown into the system of work that Ivan gave! Thank you very much for this valuable experience!
